The building design industry is now at a stage whereby it is dominated by computers. The industry has moved on using the power of technology to not only be able to draft and draw buildings and their components we can now simulate the use of a buildings, materials and environment performances.
This has helped considerably in the design of buildings as we can see before even a spade is put into the ground if the building or material is going to perform as required. This in turn helps massively to reduce the money and time spent putting right many issues which in the past would have only been found once the construction of the building had started or even finished.
The software helps us to annalyse with precision many aspects of the building and the design, and ensures that we can test them before making our final decisions. This is a good example of how we can use technology to our advantage to ensure that less mistakes are made and that less time and money is wasted.
